We're passionate about Auckland's development as a vibrant, growing city that more and more of us call home and we are working hard to give Aucklanders safe and sustainable transport services.The Operations Planning team creates and manages PT timetables, schedules and other elements of detailed services operations design including run-time and peak vehicle requirement.Te whiwhinga mahi- The opportunityThis role is responsible for taking conceptual service design and specification, stakeholder requirements, and analyses PT performance and customer insights to develop detailed timetable plans and help implement change. This role also collaborates with the planning and service operations functions to develop detailed operational plans that balance customer experience, network design, operational needs and cost.K ey tasks will include:leading and engaging the team in the day-to-day timetabling, scheduling task including guidance and supportproviding accurate reports and discussing personal development plans and opportunitiesproviding senior managers with cost effective solutions to timetable and capacity problems supported by accurate data for the Auckland Network.providing detailed timetabling, scheduling coaching and support on how to get the best results from the timetable creation/scheduling tools including Optibus and Business Objects reports.Five to ten years' experience in a business, data analysis and timetable creation/scheduling role. Experience in creating bus tender timetables, PVR, statistics and solutionsWorking in a political or complexTertiary qualification in transport planning, mathematics commerce or disciplineOr the experience equivalent to a qualification in transport planning, scheduling or logistics for a large organisationWe have a great culture, encouraging diversity and inclusion in all we do, and we care!
