A new function within the Digital Public Service Branch, the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework has been established to put ownership and control of digital identity information firmly in the hands of individuals, enabling easy sharing of identity information and reducing privacy and security breaches. The work of the Trust Framework is ground-breaking and will influence the digital landscape for both public and private sector organisations; helping to identify solutions that will support New Zealanders to provide proof of who they are online in an easy, fast and accessible way.
Information about the programme to establish a new Trust Framework Authority can be found here: Digital Identity Programme | NZ Digital government About the role The Senior Operational Policy Analyst is responsible for interpreting policy and legislation into the delivery of quality regulatory products such as operating models, operating procedures, processes, advice and fit-for-purpose guidance, standards, rules and codes of practices. 
Understanding, monitoring and analysing the TFA's regulatory system and trends, business processes and workflow, is critical to this position. 
You will be responsible for leading the successful release of policy and business improvement products into the operational regulatory environment. 
Key responsibilities include: 
Providing thought leadership and trusted advice to the Establishment Director and TFA team on regime/system opportunities, priorities, risks and trade-offsInject knowledge of operational issues and perspectives to influence the development of regime and system policy, legislation, and budget bids.Working with others, lead the timely design and delivery of smart and progressive regulatory products and tools.About you The successful applicant will have a background in policy implementation with an understanding of legislative/regulatory change. They will be able to navigate through complex stakeholder engagements and make sure strategic and operational priorities are well understood. This role requires a thought leader, subject-matter and technical expert who can provide coaching and mentoring to other staff. 
To be successful in this role you will have:
Significant experience in operational policy and regulation.High quality written and oral communication skills.An understanding of how to operationalise and implement changes to legislation and regulations.Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement ability.A delivery focus.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Have a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to contribute to, and support, effective strategies in achieving responsiveness to Maori.To review the full job description, please click here.
