Our Finance team is committed to achieve this through the delivery of world class performance analysis and providing exceptional expertise across the business on a wide range of operational, planning, product performance and insight topics.The roleThe Senior Manager Accounting Policy is responsible for ensuring that the ASB Group's accounting policies and practices are compliant with NZ IFRS, IFRS, NZ GAAP and relevant legislation.Offering insight across the bank and adding value by providing expert technical advice to support decision making at ASB Board and ELT levels is at the heart of this role. You will also work collaboratively with Financial Services, CBA Group Accounting Policy, Group Secretariat and the external auditors to ensure accurate and consistent application and review of accounting policies and seamless implementation of modified or new policies.About youCritical to the success of this role will be your ability to engage and influence at all levels within ASB and CBA as you ensure that the ASB group complies with all its external and regulatory reporting obligations, whilst maintaining an exceptional level of customer service. Your attention to detail, ability to work through ambiguity and self-motivation will set you apart from other applicants.To be considered, you will have strong technical accounting knowledge, with experience in the analysis and implementation of accounting standards and/or regulatory standards. Therefore a strong knowledge of IFRS and the NZ regulatory framework (banking and funds) is essential.
