Details of the offer

Position:As the Senior Financial Accountant, your primary responsibility is to assist the Group Financial Controller in delivering a comprehensive suite of financial services. This includes but is not limited to handling taxation, providing treasury support, overseeing balance sheet management, enhancing existing policies and procedures, and preparing the annual consolidated financial statements for the University and its subsidiaries. Additionally, you will offer financial guidance, conducting ad hoc analysis, and supporting business case development for our finance stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including implementation of new standards. Oversee financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness. Provide expert advice on taxation and financial matters, including ad hoc analysis and business case support. Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinate external audits. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and compliance. Manage finance-related projects, ensuring objectives are met within established timelines. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, to support effective financial management. Key experience and qualifications required: Tertiary qualification in accounting and CA qualified Extensive experience in financial accounting, preferably in a complex organization. Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing financial processes, policies, and procedures.
