Senior Asset Accountant

The OpportunityWith multiple international assets having been acquired by this business this is a newly created role to work alongside the team to manage the workload associated to these new assets. As a Senior Asset Accountant you are responsible for the overseeing of work by other members of the team.This is an ideal opportunity for Senior Financial Accountant to take a step into a growing international organisation. You will be running your own portfolio of work in one of the biggest companies in New Zealand managing (but not limited to) the preparation of financials, assist with group reconciliations, and supporting the end of year and audit processes across NZ and the US.With International ties you will work alongside a Head of finance who has grown their team from the ground and created a supportive and excellent culture.The RoleThe duties include but are not limited too:Preparation of monthly financials for review including:Working with the wider finance function to complete month end accounting, as well as associated reporting and analysis, in a timely and efficient manner across the joint ventureEnsure all work is meeting the US GAAP and IFRS standardsContributing to the compilation of year end accountsPreparation of tax compliance, including GST, FBT, RWT and income taxWorking with the wider business to understand reporting and information needs, and creating insight and output to address those needsAssist with annual preparation of expense budgets and forecasts against the multiple entitiesTo be successful:8+ years' experience, CA/CPA preferredExperience with US GAAP and/IFRS, or worked in a global organisationExperience working for Joint Ventures would be advantageous.Ability to resolve day to day issues and work to deadlinesSelf-starterExcellent written and oral communicationProficient in excel and ERP use.Experienced in working to deadlines and problem solvingKey analytical skillsTeam player with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills,If you are interested in this role, please click  APPLY  or for a confidential conversation please contact Harriet at Find Recruitment on 022 098 2794 or via email at  [email protected]Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
