Senior Financial Accountant

We currently have an amazing opportunity to join our successful and supportive Finance Team as a Senior Financial Accountant. This is a 13-month fixed term maternity leave cover starting in Mar/Apr 2024. You will be responsible for providing technical advice to the business regarding accounting standards and policies, managing the group and subsidiary statutory account preparation and audit process, driving process improvements, and assist with the monthly financial reporting process. In addition, you will also provide guidance to other members of the financial accounting team and review work of other team members. Who are we looking for? Tertiary degree in accounting and CA qualified (or equivalent) 6+ years in an accounting role Good working knowledge of NZ equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards and strong technical accounting skills Ability to build strong relationships with other members of the finance team and wider business and effectively build their knowledge of relevant accounting and tax principles Ability to work independently with minimal guidance Strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills Sound problem identification and innovative solving skills Effective planning and prioritising skills Energetic and driven What's in it for you?
