As a Senior Estimator you will be responsible for collaborating closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams across a variety of projects of different sizes. This role involves providing comprehensive support in project estimation, including budgeting, cost analysis, and resource allocation.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Evaluate and price measuring documentsCreate construction schedules of quantities and project budgetsObtain quotes from suppliers for materialsCalculate material ratesConduct contract negotiations with clients and contractorsAudit invoices, process variations, client progress claims, subcontractor progress payments, and manage financial tracking/reporting and supplier paymentsAdminister general contracts, including document controlSupervise staff as neededDevelop project programmingEnsure quality assurance standards are metResolve disputes between contracting partiesAttend site visits, engage with subcontractors, and liaise with clientsWhat you will need to be sucessful in the role:
Relevant Tertiary Qualification. Preferably BSc Quantity SurveyingExperience in construction/building/project workEstimation experience, approximately 8 years plus as construction Estimator dealing with multi residential and commercial builds to be fully competentExcellent interpersonal and relationship building skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills - sound facilitation and negotiation skillsSound commercial judgement, with ability to apply quality management principlesAbility to understand broader organisational perspectiveWhat you'll get in return:
