The Role
Based in Melbourne CBD and reporting to the business units Development Director, you will work as part of a structured and highly efficient development team to deliver major new projects across Australia. Projects will typically range from $5m to $250m, with external Project Managers appointed to act as the Superintendent, and the Senior Development Manager responsible for ensuring design intent, quality standards and schedule is maintained throughout the life of the project, in line with internal operational expectations.
Your responsibilities will also include financial feasibility modelling, due diligence, creating and controlling project budgets, masterplanning and town planning, attending PCGs and site meetings, managing the tender process including appointing contractors, preparation of board reports etc. It is expected that you may need to travel interstate a few times per month.
Requirements
Significant background in Development Management from a notable institution, REIT or corporate Developer
Demonstrated design and delivery experience around commercial, education, health or aged care development
Strong understanding of town planning approval process
Excellent commercial acumen and managing financial elements of project delivery
Proven consultative and client relationship building skills
Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement
Ability to provide resolution to complex development issues involving a wide variety of activities
Well developed presentation and communication abilities, both verbal and written
