This is a full-time role based at our Tauranga head office for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the engineering design of land development projects.
This is a pivotal role, and you will work closely with the Engineering Director to grow their civil engineering presence. You will also work collaboratively with Stratum's wider team of professionals including Geotechnical and Structural Specialists, Surveyors and Planners.
This is the ideal position for you if you enjoy the mix of office-based work and getting out on site across the beautiful Bay of Plenty. You'll need to be great with people and be an effective communicator as you will be working closely with clients, local authorities and contractors.
This is a full-time permanent position for 36 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include:Undertake and lead the civil design for medium to large land development projects
Oversee projects from start to finish by working collaboratively with Designers, Geotechnical specialists, Surveyors and Planners
Prepare engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation
Guide and mentor junior staff
Construction monitoring
Build and maintain strong client, local authority and contractor relationships
Assist the Engineering Director with business development opportunities
What are we looking for?
Recognised engineering degree and CPEng qualified (or close to)
Land development and engineering design in three waters, earthworks and roading
Significant experience in a similar role in NZ
High proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Leadership of projects and staff on land development projects
Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
