Senior Accountancy Officer

C-MIST is a long established organisation providing services to the oil, gas and construction industries worldwide. The company has major international clients in the UK and internationally. We are looking for a Senior Accountancy Officer to join the team. This post is based at our Head Office located at the Heriot Watt University Research Park, west of Edinburgh. The candidate should have a basic accountancy qualification and as a minimum, knowledge and experience working with SAGE Line 50. We expect the applicant to be well presented and able to communicate to various levels of our Management team. Essential skills and knowledge: · Sage Line 50 current skills · Microsoft Office particularly Excel skills · Basic accountancy qualification and experience The main functions of the role are: · Posting supplier and sales invoices to Sage · Reconciling bank and credit card accounts with sales and supplier accounts · Managing purchase ledger, making supplier and other payments · Preparing company P&L information & required management information reports in a timely manner · Responding to supplier account queries · Preparing quarterly VAT submissions · Liaising with the Directors and company accountant regarding preparation of the annual accounts · Updating the fixed asset register · Credit control with the assistance of other staff In return, C-MIST offers excellent job security.
