We are searching for the perfect salon star to manage our two Auckland-based salons and grow them to new heights. Take your career to the next level in 2020 with this exciting role!
About the role
As a Manager, you will lead, organise, coordinate and analyse the daily operations of both the salons independently. Your role also includes ensuring customers are satisfied, managing schedules and performance of other employees, ensuring both the salons are running profitably, selecting products and services provided to clients and determine pricing and promote the salon within the market. You will need to work proactively to ensure the salons remain competitive in a dynamic industry.
You will have to demonstrate that you possess the following skills and experience in order to be considered:
Relevant work experience in a managerial role within the beauty industry of at least 3 years to enable you to manage 2 stores independently.
Ability to manage/ motivate staff to achieve sales targets on a consistent basis.
A good understanding of the operations and health and safety regulations applicable to this industry.
Relevant tertiary qualification in business/management may substitute for the work experience but preference will be given to those with both a formal qualification and industry experience. We believe an academic background in management will equip you with the theoretical knowledge, and this will need to be coupled with hands on industry experience to really flourish in this role.
A passion for hair and beauty and knowledge of what clients look for in their preferred salon.
Excellent customer service, communication and management skills.
Exceptional personal presentation and grooming – clients want to see what they will get when they come to us so you must look the part.
Availability to work on weekend would be an advantage as these are our busiest times.
