Safety and Quality Governance & Assurance Blenheim Te Whiwhinga a mahi | The opportunity We are currently looking for an energetic and committed individual to fill our Safety and Quality Governance & Assurance role based in Blenheim in a permanent full time capacity. In this role you will be responsible for organisational compliance of Airbus NZ Operations Quality and Safety Management Systems (QMS and SMS), under ISO 9001 Accreditation, Airworthiness Regulatory Approvals (National Airworthiness Authorities (NAA) and Technical Airworthiness Authorities (TAA)), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) approvals and customers' requirements assuring that all Airbus NZ Operations work is completed to their standards, requirements and expectations. Reporting to the Manager Safety and Quality NZ Operations, you form part of the Safety and Quality team and provide assurance that the Safety and Quality Management System is maintained at the highest level to assure continued compliance to ISO standards and NAA rules. The role has responsibilities with both internal and external customers and provides airworthiness, Safety and Quality support and guidance, performance of personnel inductions into the company and assessments for Company Authorisations. Specifically you will: * Conduct audits to ensure maintenance process compliance to NAA Rules. * Conduct investigations into non-conformance and safety issues to identify CAPA. * Engage with customers on quality and safety issues, providing written feedback on any investigations within agreed timescales * Support the promotion of the iSMS across NZ * Participate in Exposition and procedure review and updates * Provide advice and guidance on operational compliance. * Identify and escalate to the Manager Safety & Quality major control weaknesses identified from incidents and audits. * Participate in assurance activities and action Corrective Action Requests (CARs). * Act as a first point of contact for Safety and Quality queries. * Assist in the coordination of QMS/SMS Reviews, workshops and events. Ko koe tenei | About you To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The skills and experience best suited to this role: * Knowledge and experience in working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System * Knowledge and experience related to Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) iaw ICAO Annex 19 Safety Management and CAA Rule Part 100 * Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Systems * Aviation industry recognised Lead Auditor certification * Civil Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) training * Certificate in Quality Management/Quality Assurance or equivalent * Event / maintenance error investigation training * Have the ability to communicate with all personnel at all levels and be a culture change facilitator * Have the ability to read, write and interpret, understand and communicate regulatory / statutory / customer requirements and Technical Data applicable to the business * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and build upon working relationships effectively. * Ability to work closely and build relationships with Regulatory/Certification bodies Ko wai matou | About us Airbus in Australia Pacific is a leading aeronautical business employing people across multiple sites in Australia and New Zealand.
