Job DescriptionTe Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are looking for a Research Grants & Contracts Manager!  In this role you will negotiate and execute complex contracts, subcontracts and variations for research and consulting projects with external clients, funders and partners on behalf of Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland.  Research Grant & Contracts Managers work closely with researchers, Faculty and Institute Research Services Teams (FIRST), Technical Services Managers, UniServices Business Development Managers, Investment Managers, funders and commercial clients to achieve optimal contracting outcomes within the Universitys delegations framework and risk appetite.Other responsibilities of the role include:Manage the drafting, negotiation and execution processes for a portfolio of assigned complex contracts, subcontracts, variations and other agreements in line with the Universitys preferred contracting positions, delegations and risk appetite.Provide regular updates to contract stakeholders on the status and progress of assigned contracts, subcontracts and variations.Support Research Grants & Contracts Advisers to manage the volume of standard grant agreements, subcontracts and variations during peak contracting periods.Ensure that the progress of assigned contracts are maintained in the Universitys research management systems to support timely and accurate reporting on contract statuses and processing timeframes.This is a full-time, hours per week role on an 18-month contract.
