Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The purpose of this position is to carry out superlative research activities on the economics of local electricity markets, which will enable peer-to-peer and multiple trading relationships and will maximise flexibility among heterogenous electricity consumers (industrial/commercial and residential). More specifically, the research fellow will work in the development of game-theoretic, agent-based models, demand response mechanisms and models of distributed energy resources, which will enable us to derive testable empirical hypotheses and carry out simulations/scenarios for our large-scale research project entitled "Economics of a Community of Interactive Business and Energy Digital Twins." Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in economics, who have advanced knowledge of applied economic theory, game-theoretic models, and modern econometric techniques and modelling. Ability to collect data, design and carry out surveys, undertake game-theoretical and econometric analyses of electricity markets, estimate electricity demand and knowledge of peer to peer trading and multiple trading relationships are highly desirable. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) 1 year  fixed term  opportunity. The remuneration is from RF1 : 94,981 - RF3 : 101,141 per annum and will be dependent on skills and experience.
