About the position Our Registered Nurse plays a vital part in the day-to-day operation of our clinics; reporting to the clinic's Charge Nurse and working with your Clinic Manager, Locality Manager & Admin team, you will be responsible for ensuring proper triage and patient care. Our clinic in Whangarei is open between 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Sunday. You can have the opportunity to work in a Urgent Care (UC) environment. Key Responsibilities Assessment, planning, implementation & evaluation of patient requirements Training of new nurse Evaluation & Development of junior nurses You will need to have: Advanced experience in Acute Nursing Current registration as a New Zealand Registered Nurse Current Indemnity Insurance (NZNO Registration)- Preferable Previous experience in urgent care role is an advantage Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities Awareness of ACC and PHC Being familiar with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) would be an advantage Someone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency and who is able to demonstrate an understanding of Maori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
