This is a full time permanent (civ) position What you will doYou will support the delivery of best practice accounting across the NZDF. You’ll be responsible for the maintenance of effective systems to meet NZDF’s transactional accounting responsibilities, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal processing, internal control and monitoring, management of credit cards, and provides advice and information to all customers in respect of accounting transactions and processes. The Team Leader will have ownership of reconciliation processes across NZDF, and will be responsible for compliance, accuracy and timeliness of all reconciliations.What we needAn experienced Team Leader with the ability to develop and mentor others. Experience in accounting/finance within a large organisation.We’re looking for your:
Knowledge of NZ Public Sector financial management practices;
Knowledge and understanding of the preparation of Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations;
Understanding of credit card management and journal processes;
Financial analysis skills;
High level of computer literacy with spreadsheets and data management software;
Experience with a major ERP package such as SAP or Oracle;
Effective leadership and communication skills.
