In this essential role, you will lead the Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Control for the site ensuring a seamless and robust process for delivering safe, suitable, and high-quality products to our customers.Food SafetyPromote and support a program of continuous improvement and food safety culture of excellence across the site as a Food Safety Manager.Assist with maintaining the company food safety risk management systems.Advise and actively assist production and quality teams with all aspects of the customer and regulatory requirements e.g., BRC, ZIL, AIC in being a responsible business.ComplianceStay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the packhouse operations align with regulatory requirements.Conduct regular internal and external audits (BRC, BioGro, MPI, etc.) to assess and improve the effectiveness of quality assurance processes.Regularly checks of site operational processes toensure all regulatory requirements are being maintained by all staff.Ensure all classes of fruit are packed and cool stored as per marketer specifications.Repacked fruit is handled efficiently with minimal fruit loss and in a cost-effective manner.Appropriately inform QCs of any specification changes for ZIL, Biogro, AVOCO, etc.Inform regulators as required when packing commences and stops.Timely flagging of lines which require priority changes or have issues that may impact on storage and inventory management.Always maintain correct grower processing orders.What we offer?Onsite parkingA supportive team that believes it is important to enjoy the journeyOpportunities for career growthWho are you?A collaborative leader who believes in their people and our brandExperience within food production managementSystem and process improvement mindsetA good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, OutlookYour application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Quality Manager?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
