Food Technology & Safety (Science & Technology) We are a well-established and growing company and are excited to add to our existing food technology team. Florentines Patisserie manufactures a large range of cakes and desserts for the local and export markets. We are looking for someone who is driven and eager to develop their supervisory / management career. Working closely with our 2 other Food Technologists, you will be proactive and assertive and know how to deliver outstanding performance.We offer great hours with no weekend work.Duties and responsibilities include:Provide technical support to the Operations Team ensuring quality and food safety issues are identified, assessed, and managed effectively.Work on New Product Development projectsFactory Trials using reports to record temperature settings, process constraints, ingredient suitability, projected waste/giveaway, sensory and visual attributes.Support the development of new ingredients, products, processes, and guidelines.Conduct investigations on customer complaints, identify corrective actions and monitor for effectiveness.Ensure all specifications, PIFs, and export declarations are managed effectively.Monitor our quality and food safety program and its documentation.Collaborate with the production team to deliver outstanding performance metrics.Comply with all workplace Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.You will haveGood relationship skills and can work and effectively manage a teamAbility to work to tight deadlinesExcellent organisational skillsA good communicator, both written and verbal to varied stakeholdersWe would prefer at least 2-3 years of industry experience.Hold a Bachelor of Food Technology/Science or similar science–based qualification.Above all, you will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and be enthusiastic about taking on new and exciting challenges.You will get fantastic experience working closely across all functions in a business that is continually growing and evolving.Family-owned NZ business with a strong focus and commitment to the well-being of all employees.Competitive remuneration package.Opportunities for career progression and development.On-site free parking and generous product discounts.We are interested in hearing from you if you are up for the challenge and are prepared to do whatever it takes to succeed.
