Purpose: To work closely with the Group Quality & Compliance Manager to ensure that the company adheres strictly to the food safety guidelines, full compliance with all applicable industry regulatory and customer standards and applies best practices in its operational processes. In this essential role, you will lead the Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Control for the site ensuring a seamless and robust process for delivering safe, suitable, and high-quality products to our customers. Food Safety Promote and support a program of continuous improvement and food safety culture of excellence across the site as a Food Safety Manager. Assist with maintaining the company food safety risk management systems. Advise and actively assist production and quality teams with all aspects of the customer and regulatory requirements e.g., BRC, ZIL, AIC in being a responsible business. Compliance Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the packhouse operations align with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular internal and external audits (BRC, BioGro, MPI, etc.) to assess and improve the effectiveness of quality assurance processes. Regularly checks of site operational processes toensure all regulatory requirements are being maintained by all staff.  Ensure all classes of fruit are packed and cool stored as per marketer specifications.  Repacked fruit is handled efficiently with minimal fruit loss and in a cost-effective manner. Appropriately inform QCs of any specification changes for ZIL, Biogro, AVOCO, etc.  Inform regulators as required when packing commences and stops. Timely flagging of lines which require priority changes or have issues that may impact on storage and inventory management. Always maintain correct grower processing orders. What we offer?
