About the role Are you a skilled Project Manager looking for an opportunity to contribute to the constantly growing and developing city of Palmerston North? Working within the Infrastructure Project Management Office (PMO), you will make a difference across Palmerston North delivering a range of infrastructure related projects. You will be adept at managing and overseeing multiple projects and deliver these projects in line with project management methodologies, standards, and guidelines. You will also have experience preparing design briefs, specifications, tender and contract documentation. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Your focus in this role will include: Prepare project scopes, cash flows, project execution plans and other documentation to meet Council requirements and timeframes Working alongside the Contracts Management Team develop tender and contract documentation Manage procurement processes, including evaluating and reporting on tender submissions in line with good practice and focused on mitigating risk. About you Ideally you hold a tertiary qualification in construction, technology, engineering or a related discipline and have experience delivering a portfolio of projects. You will be a good communicator and enjoy working as a part of a team. Experience working with members of the public as stakeholders would be an asset. Formal training in project management methodologies such as CAPM, PMP Certification or Prince 2 Practitioner is also required. The ability to work to timeframes and to ensure goals and project outcomes are achieved is a must. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: Demonstrated expertise in the use of proven project management tools and techniques such as project plans, tender and contract documentation Ability to scope and develop projects to a high standard Complete understanding of procurement as it relates to Local Government.
