In order to meet demands, it is indicated that there is an ongoing need for new and upgraded facilities to meet the changing needs of the organisation. We are looking for a healthcare sector experienced professional for the role of Project Manager – Construction. This role reports into the Project Director – Capital Projects Delivery. This is a full-time, 2-year fixed term position, working Monday to Friday and based at Middlemore Hospital. This role will be for someone who has extensive experience working within a clinical environment delivering capital projects. This role provides you with an opportunity to bring your healthcare sector experience to our projects delivery team to enable delivery of a major healthcare facility for Counties Manukau District. The position will be focused on the design, briefing management and user group interface throughout the initiation, design and execution project lifecycle process. This role will also encompass overseeing the FF&E and migration aspects of the project. This includes understanding the FF&E needs of our clinical stakeholders and following that through to selection, budgeting, procurement, final delivery and commissioning for the end user. Migration aspects will include taking ownership of logistics around staff and patients decanting to enable the new facilities build and to plan a smooth transition into the new facility for staff and patients. The position incorporates leadership, service improvement and change management disciplines and the position holder will be required to plan, support, facilitate and monitor the progress of the projects ensuring our developments are optimised to meet the overall needs of our patients.
