Job Description The Role:This opportunity invites dynamic and passionate individuals to join Youth Arts New Zealand (YANZ) on a part-time basis as Project Lead. Working closely with the YANZ whanau and each other, you will have the chance to develop and manage events and projects that support the creativity of young artists. This role is open to anyone who has a passion for project management and the delivery of youth-focused kaupapa. No formal project management experience is required; we're open to how you define 'experience' and will provide support and mentorship within the role - we seek individuals who are eager to learn and grow alongside peers within a holistically supportive youth-led organisation. We're looking for candidates based in Tamaki Makaurau Auckland, or those willing to relocate, who have demonstrated their ability to collaborate with teams, communities, or other groups to drive positive change. Whether through work in live music events, volunteering, community kaupapa, advocacy, or supporting whanau, we value diverse definitions of experience. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are excited about making things happen! There are two positions available for this role, and we're on the lookout for different perspectives, unique experiences, and team players who can work collaboratively with each other to make magic happen!  As a values-driven organisation, we seek someone who embodies the following qualities: A passion for the creative arts and youth empowerment: You possess a personal passion for the arts, creativity, and/or empowering rangatahi across Aotearoa. Knowledge and/or experience in project management or working in the events industry.  Ability to work independentlyand as part of a close-knit, collaborative team, with a proactive and adaptable approach to work. Excitement about YANZ's vision and values, and a willingness to learn and grow as within the role. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders. In addition to the above, the role entails assuming responsibilities related to project management, event coordination, and community engagement, contributing to the growth and delivery of YANZ initiatives.  Being part of the YANZ whanau means: A personal development plan, tailored to how you want to grow your individual skills. Flexible working schedule, with the ability to work from home or our cosy, fully stocked office located in Parnell, Auckland. This role also has flexible hours to be discussed at the start of your time with us.  Opportunities to meet lots of other creatives and foster a community network of support and talent.  Team outings, events, and occasions to have lots of fun! A competitive compensation rate that recognises the value of your mahi within the industry.
