16 Month Fixed Term Contract - HASTINGS LOCATIONOur client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Co-ordinator to join their team on a temporary basis, providing maternity cover for a period of 16 months. This role offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate significant organisational projects within hospital and community health service environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Project Manager in planning, development, and execution of project work, ensuring the delivery of project outputs and reports to the highest quality levels. This role is based in the beautiful location of Hastings.
What you'll do: As a Project Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating significant organisational projects within hospital and community health service environments. You will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of planning, development, and execution of project work. Your role will involve working closely with a diverse team of professionals, stakeholders, and project resources to ensure smooth coordination of project activities. You will also be instrumental in embedding appropriate project management approaches and tools to support the successful delivery of projects. Furthermore, you will help foster a culture of partnership, collaboration, and co-design among staff members, the project team, and consumers.
* Provide project coordination for significant organisational projects within hospital and community health service environments
* Support the Project Manager in planning, development, and execution of project work
* Work with the wider project team, stakeholders and project resources in the coordination of project activities
* Help embed the use of appropriate project management approaches/tools for supporting the delivery of the Project
* Help embed a culture of partnership, collaboration and co-design between staff, project team and consumers by focusing on patient and whanau centred care, equity and consumer engagement within the discipline of Project Management
What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Project Co-ordinator role brings a wealth of experience in project coordination within a structured project delivery environment. With formal training or qualifications in Project Management or an equivalent business field, you have a solid understanding of the end-to-end project lifecycle. Your ability to engage effectively with a wide range of people has been key to achieving desired outcomes in previous roles. You possess strong numeracy skills and have experience working with financial and informatics analysis. Furthermore, your excellent written communication skills enable you to support the writing and review of various project artefacts.
* Formal training or qualification in Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMI) or equivalent business qualification
* Minimum of 12 months experience in project coordination within a structured project delivery environment
* Working knowledge of the end-to-end project lifecycle
* Experience engaging effectively with a wide range of people to achieve desired outcomes
* Strong numeracy skills and evidence of working with financial and informatics analysis
* Ability to support the writing and review of project artefacts; briefs, project implementation documents; reporting, business cases and other relevant documents
