The Corporate Support Group underpins everything the Agency does They are an enabler, an advisor and the people who keep the Agency safe. Corporate Support includes Finance, Legal, Risk and Assurance, Research and Analytics, Procurement, and Enterprise Change. For the Agency to be successful, Corporate Support needs to deliver quality services efficiently.
Sitting within Enterprise Change and reporting to the Consulting Manager, Delivery, our Programme Managers will be accountable for ensuring we are establishing the right projects, in the right way, so we can deliver on our business and customer change objectives. They will be assigned to a Portfolio and will work closely with the Portfolio Directors and Business to translate the high-level business roadmaps into actionable projects and programmes that will coherently support the achievement of business outcomes and benefits.
The Programme Managers will work with the business to get clarity around outcomes and the scope of work, and ensure we have the right team composition to successfully deliver the initiatives. You will work to sequence projects optimally, so dependencies are managed and consideration is given to the impact of change on the business, and will support the successful delivery of programmes of projects by monitoring progress, actively managing interdependencies, and resource profiles.
You will be accountable for applying best-practice Programme Management disciplines to business and customer change within their Portfolio and working with the EPMO and the wider ‘community of practice' within the Agency to rapidly improve our maturity in both Programme and Project Management.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience in leading change at either a Project Director or Programme Manager level, with using a variety of project and programme delivery methodologies and approaches including agile
Experience in leading, influencing and building credibility across a range of stakeholders, including Executive and Senior Management level
Extensive experience in bringing together teams who have the right capabilities, and focus, to deliver change quickly and effectively, while knowing how project teams ‘tick', and how to get the best out of a group of people
Know how to define projects successfully, and what capabilities are required to deliver a successful outcome
Experience monitoring, controlling and reporting at a programme or portfolio level
A strong track record of budget accountability and responsibility for significant projects or programmes.
Experience in, business case development and benefit realisation planning
It is essential you have excellent interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills, are pragmatic with exceptional problem-solving skills, and can have robust conversation with a variety of people when needed.
