Our visionof 'Whanau transformation through education' drives ourcommitment to being at the forefront of tertiary education underpinned by Maoriculture and values.Ko nga uara (our values) are woven throughout theactions we take to achieve great outcomes for our tauira (students) and kaimahi(employees):Te Aroha: Having regard for one another and those for whom we are responsible and to whom we are accountable.Te Whakapono: The basis of our beliefs and the confidence that what we are doing is right.Nga Ture: The knowledge that our actions are morally and ethically right and that we are acting in an honourable manner.Kotahitanga: Unity amongst iwi and other ethnicities; standing as one.About this roleThe primary purpose of the Programme DevelopmentAdvisor is to support the Programme Developer to ensure programme developmentis of high quality, and has undergone a process of due diligence by engagingwith relevant internal and external stakeholders and supporting the programmedevelopment team to develop a robust programmes that aligns with Te Wananga oAotearoa values and strategic objectives.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Source and coordinate hui with existingand new stakeholders (internal and external) to gather their perspective onTWoA's proposed programme provision and potential partnerships.Source and coordinate hui with existingand new stakeholders ( subject matter experts) to gather their perspectiveon TWoA's direction for the content and aupapa of the proposed programme.Create and maintain relationships withboth internal and external stakeholders including community, iwi, schools,kaiako, specialists and employers.Contribute to the design of thecurriculum and assessment materials.Contribute to the creation of relevantresource materials required for a new and existing programmes. programme (eg. sourcingrelevant readings/visual resources, uploading content online).Contribute to the preparation ofreports on the progress of programme development and redevelopment.Contribute to the creation of relevantresource materials required for a new and existing programmes. programme(eg.sourcing relevant readings/visual resources, uploading content online).Qualifications and ExperienceQualifications: Bachelor Degree in Teaching/Educationor relevant fieldUnit Stanrds 4098, 112181, 18203(preferred) Full NZ Driver License Experience: • 5 years' experience in the NZ education sector(schools, tertiary)•3-5 years' Rangahau (research) experience• 3-5 years' teaching experience (recent preferred)• 3-5 years' curriculum and resource designexperience in an education sector ( schools, tertiary)Ahuatanga Maori:• Engages in cultural activities and has a soundunderstanding of ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga)• Able to understand and converse in te reo Maori(TARM level 4 or equivalent qualification)• Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding andeveryday use of te reo and ahuatanga Maori and support other kaimahi in thesame endeavour• Understands and is an advocate for using TeWananga o Aotearoa values in the workplaceAs a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingnessto participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of AhuatangaMaori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.If this sounds like an opportunity you'd beinterested in, and you have the experience we need - we'd love to hear fromyou.Click "APPLY NOW" to submit your applicationonline.
