Who we are
The School of Physiotherapy strives to provide excellence in physiotherapy teaching, research, and clinical practice. Our focus is primarily on the assessment, treatment, and prevention of physical dysfunction, and in the promotion of health for people of all ages.
The role
The School of Physiotherapy currently has an opening for a highly motivated Professional Practice Fellow with a passion and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and skills with students to work as a clinical educator in our Wellington Hub.
Key tasks include:
• Supporting teaching across a range of papers or in clinical settings, to graduate level, in the professional area of specialisation.
• This includes preparation, assessment, teaching and paper administration duties, under the supervision of the academic colleague who is responsible for course design and delivery.
• Carrying out administration responsibilities.
• Contributing to the School’s academic goals by applying and sharing expert knowledge in neurorehabilitation.
Your skills and experience
The successful applicant will have:
• Relevant postgraduate and/or professional qualification.
• A full New Zealand driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with liaising with clinical partners.
• Experience with supervision of students.
• Strong clinical skills in neurorehabilitation.
• Proven experience in a broad range of physiotherapy practice.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
