Duties & Responsibilities: · Oversee and execute production processes to meet production targets and quality standards. · Monitor production output and adjust workflows as needed to optimize efficiency. · Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations. · Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain product quality. · Coordinate with production team members to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. Perform or audit routine maintenance or Basic Equipment Care (BEC) and repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance. · Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with maintenance team for resolution. · Operate machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures. · Supervise and mentor production technicians and operators to ensure adherence to standards and procedures. · Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance skills and knowledge. · Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and productivity. · Assist in conducting performance review and management. · Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with regulatory standards. · Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify quality specifications are met. · Document quality control findings and initiate corrective actions as needed. · Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. · Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective measures. · Train team members on safe work practices and emergency procedures. · Encourage a safety-first culture among all production staff. · Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and streamline workflows. · Facilitate ongoing learning and development opportunities for new and existing team members. · Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to pet food manufacturing. · Encourage continuous improvement and innovation in production processes. · Perform other tasks that may be assigned either individually or as part of a committee or team. · From time to time, you may be directed to realign your efforts with the changing needs of the business. Job Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering or a related field is preferred. · Minimum of 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in pet food production is advantageous. · Strong experience with extrusion technology · Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate effectively with all members of the team from various backgrounds · Excellent organizational skills and profound ability to schedule multiple activities and resources for efficient and effective utilization. · Strong ability to motivate, lead and give directions to team member Â
