We are looking for a Production SystemsSupport to join the Technical Team in Casting & Logistics at NZAS. The role is accountable for supporting the various production systems used within Casting & Logistics and also engaging with operations and support teams to facilitate, and where required lead, business improvement activities and projects to assist Casting & Logistics to achieve strategic plan objectives. Support the systems in Casting & Logistics including Syncrun, Visual Casting System (VCS), ISO 9001 and Quality Management System, AMPLA, PIMS and operational training. Support the development, implementation, standardisation, and support of continuous improvement in Casting & Logistics. Achieve business excellence and benchmark levels of performance across all key result areas through the identification and management of a portfolio of strategic improvement projects and initiatives. Given the complexity and the importance of this role to the overall business outcomes of Casting & Logistics, the successful candidate will require the ability to effectively lead the standardization of production systems that enable operational stability and business improvement in Casting & Logistics. Reporting to the Technical Superintendent, Casting you will: Support the business improvement and technical development initiatives within the department, including championing the use of AMPLA, PIMS and other business systems; Support business processes to identify opportunities for value creation; Develop, track, and manage a business improvement project portfolio required to deliver plan, including extensive use of AMPLA; Support systems including Syncrun, Visual Casting Systems (VCS), Metpro and Paperless Casthouse; Standardise desired organisational behaviours and results through the application of effective training and competency assessment systems, including job instruction, LMS and CBP reviews; Co-ordinate activities and reporting associated with internal and external benchmarking and audit, including health checks, reporting KPIs, and metrics; Maintain the Quality System such that it accurately reflects the present state, incorporating change management. About you To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: A proven record of delivering outstanding safety performance; High level problem solving skills in both technical and social process; High level of analytical skills; Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence, build credibility and trust across all levels of the organisation; Ability to actively manage a portfolio of improvement projects to support a strategic direction; Basic working knowledge of relevant production processes and systems or similar.
