Production Supervisor

On behalf of our client in South Ayrshire, we are searching for a Production Supervisor - ideally someone who has previous supervisory / management experience within a manufacturing and production environment. Duties will include: Working with the Production Manager to lead a shift team to achieve daily production and output targets. Setting and monitoring weekly targets and objectives for the Shift. Ensuring the highest standards of product quality, and integrity are achieved. Driving safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors and visitors Ensuring the team are properly trained and working in a safe, quality conscious and effective way. Preparing performance Development Reviews of team members. Maintaining positive working relationships & ensuring effective communication at all levels Leading the team to optimise performance in terms of output, quality, costs, etc. Ensuring all work areas and equipment within your control are regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance. Although the role requires a level of experience, the position would be suited to someone who is in the early stages of their career and looking to progress. To be successful in this role you will need: Good reporting writing and numerical skills A decisive personality with the ability to resolve issues quickly. Experience of continuous process production lines. The ability to communicate clear objectives and motivate staff to achieve. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. Experience of the timber frame manufacturing Industry would be an advantage although training will be given.
