Pasta Vera is 100% NZ owned and operated, sourcing the best fresh ingredients to deliver a range of quality fresh pasta products. As the preferred supplier of pasta products to the food service sector, Pasta Vera aims to continue to provide busy chefs with consistent, quality, locally produced pasta, pesto and lasagne.

With a company focus on growth, Pasta Vera needs a Production Manager to lead and manage the production team to drive the business forward. Are you ready to step into this key leadership role?

About the opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager (GM) and leading a production team spanning the Pasta Vera operation; the Production Manager takes overall accountability for driving successful business through operational performance. In doing this, the Production Manager will:

Lead, develop and motivate all members of the Production Team ensuring all team members understand their respective and team accountabilities and are empowered to deliver and achieve objectives;

Plan and monitor the capacity of equipment/facilities to optimise productivity and work collaboratively with the business on a production plan ensuring productivity is maximised;

Ensure that the facility attains and exceeds key performance measures and maximises profitability through short and long-term strategies and initiatives to meet customer, market and competitive demands;

Ensure a safe and highly motivated work force by operating as a role model and providing proactive leadership in safety efforts with positive stakeholder relationships.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in the food industry and a strong knowledge of machinery used in a manufacturing environment. Along with your experience in implementing quality objectives, you will have strong stakeholder relationship management skills . You will have a down to earth, approachable style and will know how to make things happen. You will be able to demonstrate your capability through succcessful implementation of production and manufacturing processes and be driven to build a high performance team.
