About this opportunity This role is key to the facility achieving 'world class' performance and the main purpose of this role is to ensure that the Wash plant at the Wellington Business Unit achieves sales and profit targets whilst ensuring a safe working environment, good manufacturing practices and driving people competency. Your key responsibilities will be to: Ensure all H&S policies are observed & Create an approach of responsibility and awareness for all employees. Ensure product specifications are correct and optimised. Ensure QC systems are followed, and suitable records are kept. UseLean Manufacturing via strategic A3 processes. Train Team Leaders and manufacturing staff as required. Work to FSSC22000 & HACCP procedures Work with the maintenance team to ensure that all equipment is achieving high levels of reliability Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have: Engineering Apprenticeship 5 years in a plastics manufacturing environment Experienced using production aspects of MRP systems. The ability to learn new computer systems i.e. SAP, Esker To have a sound understanding of & can operate effectively Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to develop relationships and positively influence people Business acumen and practical analytical skills Strong Leadership skills Qualifications NZQA Mechanical Engineering BSc Mechanical Engineering, orBSc Chemistry, orBEng Mechanical Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
