Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity Our Sector Digital Channels team are working to expand and improve the digital health landscape in Aotearoa. We are the digital transformation partners enabling modern technology solutions that improve the people and whanau experience through equitable access to varying models of care.
We are the change agent for national programmes and work with our customers and partners to enable equitable access through both digital self-service and assisted channels and to reduce pressure on the workforce through automation and integration. We are product focused and leverage modern platforms, technologies and ways of working to deliver quality, sustainable and cost-effective products and services.

Mou | About you As a Product Owner, you are the driving force behind maintaining and enhancing technology services that are revolutionizing the health sector.
Your expertise will be pivotal in defining, managing, and prioritising the product backlog, ensuring it is actionable and aligns with the product vision. You will represent the voice of the end users, identifying their needs and using this as a basis to select features for delivery and inclusion on the product roadmap. What's more, you will be collaborating with the cross functional product delivery team, defining user stories and acceptance criteria and ensure that completed features are fit for purpose.

Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience A relevant tertiary qualification or similar experience. Proven experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, health or outreach subject-matter expert or similar role in an Agile environment within large and complex organisations. Experience working in software development or product management. An analytical and enquiring mindset, with a willingness to ask probing questions to understand the underlying information. Preferable knowledge of product development, Salesforce or other CRM, service design, design patterns, UX and modern engineering practices, or a willingness to build knowledge with relevant health sector or outreach experience. Preferable knowledge of the health sector and health information systems and processes. Experience with product backlogs and user stories or similar processes. Experience with Agile methodologies, process, and principles. Experience managing and influencing key stakeholders' expectations across all levels of an organisation. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to explain information in a way that is readily understood, with the ability to sell the product vision to stakeholders across all levels. The ability to work in complex environments and with a wide range of diverse stakeholders that are internal and external to Te Whatu Ora. The ability to coach and mentor staff and stakeholders, and to work with people at all levels within the health sector. A demonstratable understanding of working within or experience of "digital business", with new technologies and how they can enhance business productivity and customer experience. The ability to quickly assimilate new information or areas of work and come to an understanding of unfamiliar and complex concepts and environments. The ability to deliver results by influencing team members and working effectively at a fast pace with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. A track record of innovation, proactivity, and resourcefulness; and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. A focus on outcomes with the flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change.
