About the role With projects and clients growing, we are looking for a customer and delivery focused Lead/Senior Process Engineer who is proactive in the delivery for clients and leading a team to ensure projects are successful and our team culture continues to be fun and open. You will be exposed to clients across New Zealand working on oil, gas, utilities, manufacturing, petrochemical, renewables and other local industry projects. In this role, you will:
Manage process design through engineering phases from concept/select, FEED through to detailed design and deliveryProvide technical guidance and leadership to develop junior engineersProvide a quality assurance voice for your fellow team membersDevelop existing and new relationships to promote the Process offering and uncover new opportunitiesPrepare proposals (hours estimation and scope definition) for new and ongoing worksAssist in the development and application of engineering and design standards, systems and processesAbout you You will be a highly experienced Lead/Senior Process Engineer ready to step up into a Team Lead role. Ideally, you will have experience in oil & gas, although experience in manufacturing, dairy, infrastructure or heavy industry is also valued. The role offers an opportunity to be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, working with a diverse range of clients on brownfields projects and new builds.
You will bring to the role:
Process Engineering degree (or equivalent)Previous experience in managing a team of engineersTechnical expertise in optimising process or manufacturing systemsConsulting and/or operational experience with commercial acumen for project and client successThe following are valued but not essential:
IChemE or CPEng chartered statusLOPA / HAZOP Facilitator experience and accreditationSkills in using process simulation software such as VMGSim or Aspen HYSYSExperience in Process Safety EngineeringAbout our team Our New Plymouth team is a leading engineering consultancy in the Taranaki area, seeing growth across New Zealand and internationally.
