Established in 1991, Te Puna Ora o Mataatua delivers an integrated range of community health, general medical, homebased, and social services within the Mataatua rohe.Te tunga | The roleOur team at Rehua Medical is committed to addressing health inequities by providing our whanau with accessible health and social services.Although our team is based out of King Street, we are also mobile – taking our services out to the people with our mobile GP clinic, Rehua Nuku Ora, in the Mataatua rohe (and sometimes beyond).As a practice nurse, your time will be split between two kaupapa. Most days you will be based at our new, purpose-built medical centre (Rehua Medical), and some days you will have the opportunity to work from our new Mobile GP Unit (Rehua Nuku Ora), travelling within the Mataatua rohe and beyond to support our whanau who live in those hard-to-reach areas.You will join a team of highly skilled medical practitioners who apply a holistic approach to the wraparound care and support for our patients. Your scope of practice will include triaging whanau before GP consultations, patient interventions, treatment, and nursing care and support.As a registered nurse, these are some of the skills you would bring with you:Minimum 3 years' experience as a Practice Nurse (Smear Taker certified preferred, but not essential)Working knowledge of MedTechThe ability to engage meaningfully with our whanauThis is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a genuine passion for Maori Health.We are a supportive kaupapa Maori organisation, committed to developing our kaimahi.
