Job Description - Mental Health Clinician Te Toki Haumanu (ROT02800) Vacancy No: Vacancy No: ROT02800 Mental Health Clinician, Te Toki Haumanu Closer to Home services, Rotorua An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Registered Nurse or Qualified Mental Health Clinician, as part of our new Rotorua based Closer to Home service, Te Toki Haumanu. The roles present a real opportunity to make a positive difference. The Mental Health Clinician will deliver intensive intervention, closer to home, to minimise the need for admission to the Whare Whakaue ward or Specialist Services. To do the role, you will demonstrate the ability to provide independent, high quality, effective psychiatric care so tangata whaiora (service users) can improve their wellbeing, take ownership over their recovery and be connected to the most appropriate service for on-going support. The role is aimed at increasing access to early intervention, to reduce inequalities and clinical risk for tangata whaiora with moderate to severe mental health and addiction needs.
