Perioperative Nurse Coordinator - (part time, Monday to Friday)
General Surgery, Patient Service Centre
Waitemata District Health Board is the largest DHB in New Zealand, serving a population of approximately 600,000 people living in Rodney, and North and West Auckland.
This role will involve coordinating and case managing aspects of the perioperative process for patients in General Surgery including clinical oversight of referrals into General Surgery and clinical coordination of outpatient and inpatient waitlists. Some service development work will also be included.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, a sound work ethic, be well organised and able to prioritise based on clinical assessment. You will also demonstrate a commitment to the provision of safe and appropriate patient / family focused health care delivery. You will work closely with the Perioperative Nurse Coordinators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Cancer Care Coordinators and the Administration team. You will also be able to work autonomously, positively and proactively with patients, clinicians, nurses and other key stakeholders.
This would suit a well organised, self-starter Level 3 or above with current General Surgical experience.
