Payroll Advisor

RNZ is working with its payroll provider to upgrade its software, modernise its suite of HR tools and outsource its payroll function (payroll processing only) to a bureau.
This change in business practice presents an exciting opportunity to join the RNZ People Team.
We are seeking a Payroll Advisor with sound payroll experience and strong analytical skills to be our bridge between RNZ people and our payroll provider.
At first you will be the key driver of our system upgrade. This experience will give you great insight to our organisation and place you in the perfect position to advise and assist RNZ people with all matters payroll. Then you will ensure our quality data is turned into information and reporting ? your analytical skills and use of excel will be top notch.
This position can be based in Auckland or Wellington. The candidate will be required to travel between Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch from time to time, and can also work from their home office.
As RNZ is a 24/7 business, flexibility is a key component of this role. There will be times when a late PM shift or a weekend shift will require payroll support, thank goodness for Microsoft teams. We see this role as a 30 hour per week requirement.
