With circa 1000 temporary staff per week working at our clients sites via our five offices in the Midlands, paying people accurately and on time is essential to ensure we maintain our reputation as an agency of choice with both clients and candidates.We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice Payroll Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in payroll administration within the dynamic environment of temporary recruitment.Based from our head office in Wellington, Telford your role as an apprentice will include;• Assisting with processing weekly payroll for temporary staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.• Inputting timesheet data accurately into the payroll system.• Calculating holiday pay, statutory sick pay, and other relevant payments.• Responding to payroll queries from temporary workers via recruitment consultants in a professional and timely manner.• Liaising with recruitment consultants to ensure accurate information flow regarding hours worked and rates of pay.• Assisting with general administrative tasks within the payroll department.Key Requirements:• A keen interest in pursuing a career in payroll administration.• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.Why Apply:• This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in payroll administration within the recruitment industry.• Full training is provided with additional self-study requirement to achieve the Payroll Administration L2 or L3 apprenticeship qualifications over 18 months.• Competitive benefits package.• Supportive team environment with opportunities for career progression.At ethero, we place our people and ethics at the heart of everything we do.
