Are you looking for the next step in your physiotherapy career? We are looking for an experienced Paediatric New Zealand registered physiotherapist to join our Multidisciplinary Team in the Child Development Service, Te Rito O Rongokako. The Child Development Service provides assessment and therapy to assist children up to 16 years of age with special needs to achieve their full potential in their daily lives.
The focus of this role is to provide Physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children at risk of, or living with disability. Children under our service have a range of diagnoses including, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, chromosomal abnormities and spina bifida. We also provide therapy for children with a neurodevelopmental diagnosis who have had orthopaedic intervention, including Botox injections and muscle lengthening surgery.
We are looking for someone who has the passion for clinical practice within child disability and is capable of working collaboratively both within our service and our community. We work with children in their homes as well as schools, kindergartens, clinics and recreation centres.
Our ideal candidate will be able to work flexibly, with a range of professionals to support the tamariki and rangatahi in our service. You will need to have strong communication skills and an ability to work autonomously as well as within both interprofessional and multidisciplinary styles as needed.

The essential requirements for this position are:
At least 4 years relevant clinical experience including paediatrics, neurological rehab and/or community work NZ Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practicing certificate (APC). Thorough knowledge of the health and social issues that vulnerable tamariki (children) and their whanau (family) experience Full driving license NZ resident or citizen or have an appropriate visa to be eligible to live and work in NZ Recent or past experience in complex equipment provision including standing and walking frames Experience working within a MDT setting Located in the sunny Hawkes Bay we live in pure paradise.
