With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.Job Description The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, design, construction management, and execution of work for assigned temple construction projects. This role will manage multiple significantly complex temple construction projects.Responsibilities Project manager responsibilities may include:Plans and Scopes the Construction Project:Prepares project management plans for each construction project they are assignedPrepares a project schedule and develops milestones necessary to successfully complete the project in concert with project Consultants and ContractorsEngages Contractor and subcontractors in pre-construction activities and early procurement of materials and suppliesMonitors Project Costs and Budgets:Prepares project budgets, monitors project costs and declares project financial status monthlyParticipates in the negotiation and preparation of project contractsNegotiates Contractor and Consultant change orders, manages resulting cost and impact, reviews and approves monthly payment applicationsManages project materials and equipment procurement within the project's budget constraints and scheduleEnsures onsite work activities and completed product complies with project specifications and Church standardsActs as the Church representative on each project, and the communication link between the employer, supervisor, local governments, architects, general contractor, and local leadersLeads and assists Project Team personnel assigned to each projectInteracts with Church departments to ensure policy and procedures are carried out and objectives achievedParticipates in obtaining permits and resolves other regulatory requirements as necessaryMonitors and ensures project quality is met, and evaluates project schedule to meet milestonesEnsures that the project is completed in conformance to construction documents and requirementsCoordinates all final close out procedures for the project including as-built drawings, close out, letter of substantial completion, and letter of recommendationQualifications Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or related field, or the equivalent education and experienceMinimum of 10 years professional experience in the construction, building engineering or design industryMinimum of 6 years professional project management experience and a successful track record for managing multiple projects at a given time- from conceptual planning to completion (including high profile and complex projects)Successful experience managing multiple vendor relationships at a given timeHas an in-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes and construction laws and practices, which includes understanding building codes, design plans, construction drawings, and specifications for a given projectUnderstands Software programs like Bluebeam, Sharepoint, Microsoft Project, Revit, AutoCAD etc.Apply todayvia the Church's career website: careers.churchofjesuschrist.org.Posting ID number: 360855Applications must be submitted by Friday, 15 March 2024Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord's work.
