Online Web Chat Associate

Job Description: Alcoa is seeking a part-time Online Web Chat Associate to join our team in Nelson, NZ. As an Associate Level position, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in customer service or online chat support. We are looking for someone who is resourceful, independent, and possesses strong emotional intelligence and presentation skills. Responsibilities:- Respond to customer inquiries and provide support through online chat services- Manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service- Utilize product knowledge and resources to troubleshoot customer issues and provide accurate information- Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex customer inquiries or issues- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all customer interactions- Meet or exceed performance metrics related to response times, customer satisfaction, and resolution rates Requirements:- 2+ years of experience in customer service or online chat support- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively- Sound emotional intelligence and the ability to empathize with customers- Excellent presentation skills for written communication- Proficiency in using online chat platforms and basic computer skills- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred Benefits:- Gym membership- Free food- Travel & spending expenses Working Environment:At Alcoa, we value a collaborative and innovative working environment where curiosity and questioning are encouraged to fuel growth and innovation.
