Motel ManagerLocated in beautiful Southland, our business thrives on providing the modern and quality accommodation. We are now seeking a passionate and skillful Motel Manager who will take the role of running and managing the day-to-day business operations of the motel.This role is permanent and full-time (minimum 40 hours/ week), overtime shifts are available based on business needs. Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including late nights, weekends and holidays period. The job location is in Invercargill Southland. The ideal candidate will haveAt least 3 years of relevant business or sales experience in the same sectorA true passion for hospitality and people, with a generous approach to training and motivating staffFlexibility with client requests driven by a caring thinkingConfidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learnWell-presented, with a warm and engaging personalityHolding NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.Tasks & responsibilitiesSupervision and delegation of duties to staff membersOrganising and supervising work schedules, and organising cover for any calls of sickness or unavailabilityEnsuring that all motel policies and rules are complied with at all timesManaging, monitoring and coordinating reservations from all avenuesFormulating tourism information and updating local brochures for outreach service Keeping the day to day records of banking and accounts of the premises Responding to customer complaints and comments to their satisfactionPlanning and developing the overall motel marketing strategiesOrganising, planning and executing special promotions and remaining completive room pricingManaging stock levels and making key decisions about stock and products selections Ensuring continuous compliance with occupational health and safety regulationsEnsuring effective security system, equipment, and facilitiesSupervising on-site maintenance, supplies, renovations, furnishings, electricity, water leakage and other emergent cases etc.What we offerCompetitive wages ranging from $29 to 30 per hour depending on individual experience and skillsWorking within a multicultural and friendly environmentIf you're interested in this exciting opportunity, apply now.
