Community Maternity: Waitemata Maternity - Mainly based at Waitakere Hospital
Our midwifery positions are key to us providing better access to maternity care for ourWDHBcommunity.
We are currently looking for Midwives withan interest in Diabetes in Pregnancy careand a commitment to providing quality service.
The work schedule is mainly weekdays and normal working hours. However, you must be flexible and able to work collaboratively within the Community Team.
As you will be part of the multidisciplinary Diabetes in Pregnancy team, providing coordinated diabetes and maternity care in partnership with women, and the LMC, you will need to have a clear understanding of Maternity Care in New Zealand and the choices available to women.
As a key part of your role is liaison regarding advice and support to maternity clinicians on caring for women with diabetes in pregnancy, it is essential that you have:
commitment to women's health
contemporary midwifery knowledge and skills
good communication and customer service practices
