Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity The National Public Health Service within Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have the opportunity available to join our team as a Marketing Lead. The purpose of the role is to advise, plan and deliver a range of social marketing initiatives. The Whiti Ora team leads on social marketing, communications and digital for the National Public Health Service. We play a key role in implementing health promotion for Aotearoa and are at the forefront of innovative approaches globally.
You are someone who demonstrates a high level of understanding, skill and experience in the field of social marketing and. You'll have significant project management and strong experience leading collaborative marketing and community engagement initiatives.
A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in a related area (social marketing, behaviour change communications,), or relevant workforce experienceAt least two years' demonstrated and successful experience in a senior social marketing role or similarmarketing role. Experience in social marketing for government or not-for-profit agencies is highly desirableExperience with delivering effective engagement approaches for Maori and Pasifika audiencesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present in a clear, persuasive, and impactful wayA commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions. This includes an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the ability to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in this role.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Ko te mahi e tika ana mo te ao hurihuri nei | Work that suits today's ever - changing world Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora supports flexible and hybrid working for our kaimahi.
