Details of the offer

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

You will play a key role in influencing the shape and liveability of our future Auckland in both brownfield and greenfield areas through a diverse work programme of land use and transport policy and planning and growth area management workstreams. You and your team will be working on such planning projects as spatial planning, transport land use integration frameworks and guidelines, plan changes, legislative changes such as the resource management reform, review and implementation of Central Government directives and planning frameworks, working with a number of stakeholders on planning and masterplanning for large scale developments, urban transformation / renewal programmes, providing planning expertise to Auckland Transport projects, and engaging with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Leadership and team management experience
Experience in strategy, policy and planning in land use, transport, and/or resource management planning, supported by a qualification in Planning or related discipline
An excellent understanding and working knowledge of New Zealand's planning system, transport land use integration principles, urban planning policies, growth planning and key implementation considerations and mechanisms
Experience with key legislation, such as the Resource Management Act
Expert experience in engaging and partnering with a range of stakeholders and a strong focus on customer service and collaboration
Problem solving, including ability to develop and apply frameworks for balancing competing priorities
Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communications skills.
