About the role Are you passionate about managing the intricate details of freight logistics? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where efficiency is key? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your skills as a Logistics Specialist (Packaged). As a Logistics Specialist (Packaged), you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end process of freight logistics. From coordinating containerized freight for sales and distribution to maintaining strong relationships with key vendors, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods. Some of the duties include (but are not limited to): Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all containerized freight. Liaise with freight providers to communicate booking requirements and align load scheduling with production schedules and container availability. Ensure efficient loading and unloading of containers for inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating movements and factoring in space capacity and power requirements. Coordinate transfers with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) for seamless freight loading. Manage the end-to-end process for shipping documentation, from booking freight to receival at port, including EDEC's, customer invoices, SLI, VGM & Pre-advise. Manage inventory assigned to orders in FEFO rotation, accounting for SLOB & HOLD status products. Review delivery performance metrics, including Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT) for containerized freight. To be successful, you will have: 3-4 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the sea freight sector. Experience in Coldstore logistics is preferable but not essential. Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience using Mainchain, Prodoc, Port Connect & Port Container Schedules. Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and electronic data interchange (EDI) platforms. Knowledge of International Export/Import Compliance & Regulations, Customs Procedures. Strong understanding of logistics processes, including order management, inventory control, and shipping coordination. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
