Active 4x4 is looking for a friendly, hardworking, and focused Logistics Manager who has Export/Import knowledge to join our team. Job tasks and responsibilities • Determining and implementing logistics strategies, policies, and plans • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements • monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels • Operating recording systems to track all movements of supplies and goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times • Expertise in import and export procedures, documentation, and international trade regulations will be essential in this role. • Liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation • Provide recommendations and undertake process improvements • Build relationships with couriers, delivery companies and property suppliers and ensure agreements are in place where appropriate What we look for? • Participate in the flow to work model. • Ensure the onsite team always operate in a sustainable manner • Ensure the onsite team adhere to our values and behaviours • Develop the team, providing feedback and coaching. • Act as an escalation point and solve issues as required • Reporting The ideal candidate will have • At least 2 years of experience within logistics. • A strong team leader and confident in taking ownership of your role • Someone who can proactively engage with people to influence positive outcomes. • Good knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Office would be highly desirable. • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with international stakeholders. • Knowledge of a second language, especially related to the company's target markets, is a plus. • Strong time management and attention to detail • Have a positive and can-do attitude with a great work ethic • Be a team player and have a high attention to detail • Be task oriented • Hands on practical skills • Be presentable • Problem solver Work conditions: • This position is full-time, permanent. • Minimum Work hours guaranteed per week: 35 hours paid at between $34/hr and $36.14/hr. • Salary will be amended based on the experience. • Workdays between: Monday to Saturday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) • Must be able work on public holidays and after hours (if needed) • Location: Auckland
