Lawyer (Associate/Senior Associate) - Projects/Construction - Brisbane

We represent an elite global law firm who, as a result of growth within the Projects team, are in need of lawyers at the Associate and Senior Associate level.

Projects Team

The firm's Global Projects team has experience that spans every continent and includes private commercial projects, government development projects, and privatisation of operational infrastructure assets through dispositions, financings, and long-term lease and concession arrangements.

They advise developers, contractors and financiers on all aspects of infrastructure law across multiple sectors and you will gain exposure to both the pre-eminent partners in the Brisbane office and those from the firm's global offices.

Position Description

On offer is the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary practice that will allow you to work on a range of project related transactions for brand name clients.

The type of work will include:
Project finance work, principally for sponsors of major projects;
Construction work, including the preparation of contract documents and acting as project counsel; and
Engineering work, including project evaluation, through to joint venture formation, project execution, and commercial operations.

Requirements

You will be a solicitor withat least 2 years'proven experience in a projects-related discipline - finance, construction, energy or M&A background - from a notable practice.
In addition, you will have:
a developingcommercial awareness; and
a strongacademic background.
