To identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, architectural plans, specifications, and related documents for the purpose of preparing a job cost estimate for specific projects. To build key relationships with client's key personnel & utilise to track projects, follow up on tenders & provide management an ongoing summary of projects & pipeline.Responsibilities:• Undertake drawing measurements for tenders• Prepare tender estimates, analysis and evaluation• Reviewing and providing advice on contract claims/approving payments• Assisting with variations & pricing where required.• Value engineering for estimates where required.• Preparing Bills of Quantities and take offs.• Reviewing and analysing contracts, and tenders• Assisting the Estimating Manager with any other related tasks• Interpret and apply relevant Standards, Codes and regulations• Report and escalate to management any queries around tenders or projects as needed• Track and report on project process including time, cost, quality and resources• Liaise with Main Contractors as required by the Estimation Manager• Develop sound working relationships with stakeholders• Have an excellent working knowledge of Plumbing, Gas fitting and Drain laying to New Zealand standards.• Engage with local suppliers and acquire pricing for projects.• Be proficient in MS office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook• Always represent the employer in a professional manner.• Attend meetings when required.• Provide Management a monthly update on tenders & pipeline via tender tracking tool & other software.• Follow & provide updates to management on upcoming projects by market segment, value & customer at monthly meetings.• Any other tasks that may be required in association with this roleSkills & Qualifications• Knowledge of the commercial plumbing sector• Understanding of estimating on commercial construction plumbing projects• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• The ability to work independently and within a team• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa• Willing to undergo Police Checks, (Due to the nature of some of the work we undertake, Police/Criminal Record checks are mandatory for some of our clients)• Willing to undergo client's security checks• Problem solving skills• Team player with team building skills• Ability to prioritise and to manage changing priorities• Strong written and verbal skillsReport this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
