With your background, you will support the engineers working on and finishing the migration of the existing SOLR functionality to OpenSearch, and help develop brand-new features. You will also be responsible for monitoring & improving the performance of our existing OpenSearch cluster in production.Contract length: 3 monthsStarting Date: ASAPQualificationsStrong experience in Software Engineering and Test Automation:Overall 5 years of software engineering experience with Java.At least 1 year of experience with Kotlin.Experience in Reactive programming with ReactiveX is a mustAt least 2 years of recent experience in SpringBoot 2 and 3.Strong practical experience with Kafka is required.Deep working knowledge of and proven experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch:Minimum 3 years of strong hands-on knowledge with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.Experience with SOLR.Strong understanding of internal workings of Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and Lucene.Experience in designing indices and queries using Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.Hands-on experience with administrative tasks such as monitoring of search health while ensuring daily availability of search services and data.Great team player:Good communication with both technical and non-technical team members.Open to mentoring colleagues and expanding the company's technical knowledge.Experience in giving and receiving Feedback is a plus.A bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field is a plus.Additional InformationGreat job, but not right for you?
